New poll numbers in Republican candidate Presidential Race

Unlike her predecessors, past employees say, she avoided the company cafeteria. Fiorina defends herself by pointing out that her tenure as CEO of HP was a rough one for the tech industry as a whole, and that had she not taken those measures, things would have been much worse with greater job losses.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Fiorina said she would lower tax rates and close tax loopholes if elected president.

It seems to be working. After all, it’s still more than four months before the first primary ballot is cast. That’s a stand on which there is nearly no disagreement in the Republican Party. And, in a head-to-head debate, Fiorina, with her sharp wit and sound policies, would eviscerate Clinton. “I think, honestly, it’s a gesture”, she said. Five years earlier, she had been fired from Hewlett-Packard (HP), setting off a public relations battle that rages on today.

“I keep looking for the speed bump that knocks Donald Trump off track”, said tea party co-founder Mark Meckler. “And still, the other day, on the front page of “The Wall Street Journal“, 25,000 additional people were let go and that was because of the remnants of what she did”.

The best business executives develop ambitious new visions for the companies they run think, for example, of Steve Jobs developing the iPhone.

“She was recognized to be a very effective communicator during her [Senate] campaign, but it was a much more confrontational, and sometimes harsher, tone”, Schnur said. “Her reputation is definitely tarnished in Silicon Valley”.

But, beyond that, Fiorina has real substance on the issues.

The room erupted in laughter, she wrote.

At long last, voters would have a clear choice. Fiorina describes a stepdaughter’s death from a drug overdose as a tragedy of “untapped potential”. We want a woman who loves what women love – and someone’s who’s strong, but not a bully. “Increasingly, HP was being defined by the intensity of its recycling program, its community activism, and its after-hours orchestra, rather than by its commitment to win brilliantly and relentlessly in the business arena”.

Lakoff reeled off a list of core government services, from maintaining the satellite networks that enable cellphone reception to the development of the internet to research in health, drugs and technology.

It was former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee who made one of the most profound remarks during the second GOP debate. After Fiorina’s departure, the board became embroiled in allegations that it had used legally dubious means to obtain peoples’ phone records in an effort to determine the source of the leaks that had occurred in the runup to Fiorina’s firing. While supporters credit Fiorina with the vision to buy Compaq, critics including former Compaq Chairman Ben Rosen said she lacked the skills to make the deal work.

In fifth place is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, at 9%.

Fiorina earned perhaps the biggest applause of the night as she skewered Planned Parenthood.

“In the business I was in, we had to report our results publicly, as you well know, in excruciating detail, quarter after quarter after quarter”, Fiorina recently told a CNBC reporter. “I will not replace a single one“.

In the presidential campaign, Fiorina has faced Trump’s derisive comments about her looks.

“Simply by prefacing her statement with a reference to something else that was happening in the conversation, the soundbite didn’t sound almost as programmed and pre-prepared as politicians normally do”.
