Two people had to be airlifted to a local hospital and three others people were treated for minor injures after a North Texas home exploded and caught fire on Monday morning.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown.
Barton says it appears the explosion is not a federal issue, though it certainly is abnormal. Barton says it could take weeks for those homes to be repaired.
The explosion leveled the home and nine other homes in the neighborhood sustained minor damage such as broken windows. The company was conducting leak surveys. “We want to express our honest concern”, said Jennifer Altieri, Atmos Energy spokesperson. “At this point it is too soon to tell what caused this incident”. The American Red Cross is at the scene to assist those who were affected.
Fire authorities said that residents in the area has been evacuated indefinitely but were being allowed into their homes with officers to get necessary items. “We went out to look and things were flying around”. “There hasn’t even been discussion of that”.
The sounds of the Texas home explosion could be heard for up to 10 miles away, according to Waxahachie residents.
Initial reports suggested the explosion may have been the result of a gas leak, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
“I ran out, jumped over my fence, ran over and helped the guy up”, he said.
