It is a scene touching enough to make grown men bawl their hearts out – the sight of a man singing to his wife on her deathbed to profess his undying love.

After posting the video to Facebook, it went viral and Solari said the outpouring of support lifted everyone’s spirits, including her grandmother. Their granddaughter, Erin Solari, shared the video on Facebook.
The song Howard sings, “You’ll Never Know”, is a popular tune from the 1940s and 1950s that the couple considered “their love song”, according to Solari’s description of the video.
Viewers were extremely touched by the tender moment between the loving couple, especially when they saw the plucky grandmother even summoning her dying breath to tell her husband to “behave” and jokingly observed “He loves me” when he sang their song. They’ve been married 73 years and have nine children and 18 grandchildren. “I always was your sweetheart”.
“For me, right after the video, I was so overcome”, Solari told ABC News.
In her post, Solari described how Howard and Laura used to sing the love song to each another during family gatherings. “In fact, after 50 years of marriage, they renewed their vows and performed this song as a duet for the entire family at the reception”, she continues.
“Sadly, Grandma is now too weak to sing, but that doesn’t stop her from saying the words to him (see at 1:00)”. This video was captured on September 12 in a hospice where Laura was admitted to spend her last days. She is spending her final days resting at home with her beloved Howard.

“We all thank you so much for the love and kind words”, wrote Solari.
