New On CBS Primetime, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 9

The Big Bang Theory returns Monday, September 21 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. But Billy Bob Thornton spoke out on why he made a decision to pop in on The Big Bang crew, and his answer is pretty much the sweetest thing youll hear all day. Howard is obsessed with Stuart’s relationship with his Mom and then tragically, his Mom passes away in the middle of the season.

Later in the episode, we meet another rejected character, Sheldon and Leonard’s colleague Gilda (played by Iris Bahr), who was romantically interested in Leonard but, as it is revealed in the episode, had once had sex with Sheldon at a Star Trek convention.

According to Molaro, all of the writers were on the same page in writing the vows of the onscreen couple.

“This isn’t easy to say because I love you, but I need some time to take a step back and re-evaluate our situation”.

How is Sheldon handling this rejection? Sheldon will realize that what he has in front of him is “a problem that he can’t just think of a solution for”. And it’s very frustrating. “He doesn’t immediately turn to anyone for support; instead, he is going to pursue Amy”, Molaro teased. The premiere also brings back Laurie Metcalf Sheldon’s mother, Mary. And guess what? She’s good at it and is finally making money so we see how this does and does not change her as she and Leonard keep talking about their impending marriage. “She knows they’ve been together a long time”. “You can either give up or you can work on them”. This is one series I don’t feel has lost any of its quality and humor over the last several years as so often happens unfortunately with great TV shows. Right now, the dynamic has been fascinating and interesting. There’s not a set plan – we’re feeling this out along the in same way Amy is. It ensues in the season premiere as Sheldon and Amy “engage” from opposite ends of a group get-together while Sheldon pouts. She asked for space but he was actually about to give her something that was more than anything she could have imagined.

At one point, Katie mocks Sheldon’s inexperience with women and he defends himself by explaining that he had seen six naked women in his life, and not all of them were relatives! Now doubting Leonard’s commitment, Penny will be trying to trust Leonard again. As for how they react, tune in and find out! In an episode during the fifth season of “The Big Bang Theory“, Stewart expressed that he wishes to date Amy and they even went out for a movie.

The street smart Katie clashed with the book smart Sheldon and Leonard and that was basically the gist of the show.
