Oklahoma football: Baylor assistant coach reportedly spotted on Tulsa sideline
Baylor coach Art Briles calls it is embarrassing that one of his assistant coaches was on the sideline at an Oklahoma game.

“Well, it’s something that needs to be reported and needs to be dealt with through the Big 12 office and our people, so I’m sure they will”, he said.
There are multiple layers to the relationship Lebby has with Stoops and Tulsa, but Stoops believes Lebby was in violation of the NCAA rule that says coaches aren’t allowed to make off-campus scouting trips to see teams on their schedule.
According to Baylor head coach Art Briles, Lebby was at Oklahoma to attend a wedding, per David Ubben of Sports on Earth.
Lebby was recruited to play at Oklahoma by Stoops in 2002, and worked as student coach there for four years when his playing career was ended by injury.
Also, the Baylor football program is now in the midst of an internal investigation by the university into the recruitment of Sam Ukwuachu, a former player who was recently convicted of rape.
Does that bring up bigger concerns to Stoops?
“To me, there’s not an advantage first and foremost in today’s world”, Briles said, via ESPN’s Max Olson.
“I didn’t find that out until after the game”, Stoops said.
“If I had been aware, that situation would’ve never happened”, Briles told reporters at his weekly press conference. The Bears haven’t lost in Waco since October, 2012, when a young Trevone Boykin led TCU to a victory over Baylor.
“Obviously, it was a mistake and a poor decision on my part to leave a credential for Jeff and his wife”.
“Honestly, I did not know that”, Briles said. “I’m sure they will”. I’ve known Jeff since he was in the 6th grade. We get every film they’ve ever got and they get every film we’ve ever got. “I called coach Stoops today and apologized for this situation”. “Because there is no advantage in doing it. It’s something I was not aware of”.
Briles dismissed tight end Tre’Von Armstead last week, and the coach also suspended star defensive end Shawn Oakman and safety Orion Stewart for the opener for a violation of team rules.

Given Briles mood, it would probably be unadvisable for any of the Bears to have less than a precise and productive game when Baylor hosts Rice on Saturday. They were not permitted at the stadium during that game, but have since resumed their coaching duties.
