Police are now on the lookout for the inmates, 37 year old Christopher Cornelius and 29 year old Matthew Johnson.

The two men were on a work detail when they used the makeshift rope to climb down three floors from the roof.
Cornelius was arrested July 11 on a slew of charges, including heroin possession, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and probation violation, among others, reported WAVE3.
Johnson and Cornelius tied the sheets together and climbed down from the top of the E. Chestnut St. minimum security facility, Durham told the local TV station.
Law enforcement detained two men Tuesday after they used bed sheets to escape a downtown Louisville, Ky. jail.
Just over six hours later, at around 3.30am Tuesday, Cornelius was recaptured by police.

Johnson was still at large and officers were actively pursuing leads, the statement added. Johnson reportedly was booked later that month on drug-possession charges.
