Man Arrested in Killings of Two Adults, Baby in Salt Lake City
According to The Inquisitr, authorites in Utah have identified a man – Alexander Hung Tran – who was among 3 victims, including a 2-month-old girl, found fatally shot inside of a northwest Salt Lake City home. Alexander Hung Tran, 32, was found in the house with a gun. Later Saturday, police identified the third victim as 28-year-old Dakota Smith. Tran lived in the basement of the home and was renting the upstairs to the victims, KSL reported.

Detective Dennis McGowan said police found the bodies on Friday around 6pm while looking for the family of the boy who was not picked up from Escalante Elementary School.
The boy is now with family.
Police went to the home looking for relatives of an 8-year-old boy whose family failed to pick him up from school on Friday.
Det. Richard Chipping offered more details Saturday about what officers found inside the home.
The woman was the 8-year-old’s grandmother and the baby his younger sister. Officers then discovered that the back door was wide open.
Authorities searching for the family of an eight-year-old boy who was not picked up from school discovered three bodies in a Salt Lake City home and a suspect is now in custody.
Tran is charged with aggravated murder and was being held at Salt Lake Metro Jail Saturday, according to jail records. If you needed someone to talk to, she was there.
Consuelo Garcia said the baby’s mother, Poike’s daughter Ashley Poike, was unable to attend the vigil because she was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail last month.
Chipping said a medical examiner is going to perform an autopsy and that they would glean any information to determine the identity of the male. Eventually, police arrived at the home around 5 p.m. Friday.

“Nobody deserves to die like this”, she said. One neighbor said Tran drove a vehicle into his mailbox three weeks ago.
