Google updates Wallet app for iPhone and iPad
Apple is cleaning up its app store to remove malicious iPhone and iPad apps after hackers infected one of its authoring tools, Xcode, with malware known as XcodeGhost that then was embedded in the apps developers created. Just like Apple Pay, card numbers are stored on each device allowing for financial institutions to directly authenticate payments.

On Monday users of Apple’s App Store could welcome a new version of the Google Wallet app, version 10.16.10. Particularly among users who are dissatisfied with Google’s handling of privacy and security in Android, or the gamble involved in guessing whether or not their Android phone will ever get a software update, iOS offers an attractive alternative.
The S Health app is now available on Google Play and is compatible with any Android smartphone running Android 4.4 KitKat and above. You log in with your Office 365 account, and all your contacts from there sync up to the app’s main page.

How secure is this technology? Android Pay, Google Now on Tap, fingerprint support and Doze are some of the highlights. This will essentially allow you to identify and report any suspicious activity. Another great safety feature Android has designed in conjunction with Android Pay is the Android Device Manager. You can also cash out any or all money floating in your Wallet balance by transferring it to your debit card or bank account. Security firm ESET, which discovered the vulnerability, said that once the malware – known as Lockerpin – is activated, it’s delivered as a bogus Android update. Copying over files from and to your Android phone is as easy as it can ever be – with designated folders for photos, videos already present to help beginners, you can neatly manage which file goes where. The app can answer questions directly or send you to specific websites, just as a normal Google search from your desktop would. While most users might ask what is wrong with the current Google Wallet system, the effort to upgrade and integrate the standard for POS systems at retailers is Google’s aim. Otherwise, you could find yourself stranded with a dead phone and no way to pay for a taxi or some other necessary expense. In the meantime, Samsung is following in Apple’s footsteps as new information suggests it is preparing for a new leasing program similar to iPhone’s Update scheme. Time will tell whether Android Pay presents any real security issues or not. Since the Rugby World Cup has started in England you will also be able to try and win the cup using your home country’s team.
