Its wins included the coveted prize for Best Drama, a directing gong for David Nutter, and a writing gong for David Benioff and DB Weiss’s work on ‘Mother’s Mercy’.

In her acceptance speech, Ms. Janney told her fellow nominees, “I feel like I won the lottery, because you are all fantastic as well”.
