Canadian police are investigating three homicides after a shooting that prompted them to put a small town on lockdown.

Police later said they arrested a 57-year-old suspect in Ottawa, about 111 miles away.
All lockdowns were lifted after the suspect was taken into custody.
Police had initially only said the man was being sought in connection with one shooting.
Just before 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, OPP officers found the body of a woman after responding to an incident on Szczipior Rd.in Wilno.
Officers found a second dead woman at another residence.
Ontario Provincial Police advised residents of the village, about 180 kilometres west of Ottawa, to lock their doors and remain indoors. The search led them to a home further away, though businesses and schools in Wilno were placed in lockdown.
The man was arrested around 2:30 p.m.in the community of Kinburn, in western Ottawa. The ages and names of the victims have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Sgt. Kristine Rae of the Bancroft detachment of the OPP thanked the public and Ottawa police for their assistance in the case.
