Yes, the gang is all here, (looking great by the way), but this show is a bit edgier than traditional Muppet fare and could hurt the brand if they are not careful.

And speaking of confessionals: I’m not one of the Muppet faithful.
The new series has more in common with The Muppets Show (1976-81), which played off that era’s variety shows, than with recent feature films that sent the felt-covered folk on risky adventures.
Things took a turn for the worse when the TV presenter brought up the amphibians’ new girlfriend Denise, and it’s clear he has a type as she’s also a pig.
“Well, somebody tried to eat Pepe the Prawn once”, Kermit said.
Finally, the group wants you to heed their warning: “Many parents unknowingly will let their children watch an episode only to find out its perverted nature too late, unless they are alerted ahead of time”.
What I’m getting at is, you can laugh at someone who’s technically an adult loving The Muppets, but give the show a shot first.
But Jimmy Kimmel Live producers made sure that Miss Piggy also rebounded from her long-term former relationship, by making her a Tinder profile.
Cameras will go behind the scenes at the fictitious late-night show, taking an Office-style documentary look at the professional and personal lives of Piggy, Kermit and their Muppets colleagues.
A host of celebrity cameos are set for the series, with Jennifer Lawrence, Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington rumoured to appear alongside musical guests including American singer-songwriter Josh Groban.
Back to Fozzie’s date, his girlfriend’s dad continues to be prejudiced against her dating a bear.
Kermit delivers the best line from episode one (titled “Pig Girls Don’t Cry”) while discussing his job: “My life is a bacon-wrapped hell on earth”.
MY SAY Over there in the universe next to ours is an Earth inhabited by Muppets and humans. “I have nothing against CGI… but to me the limitations, at least in the Muppets’ case of what they can’t do just challenges us to try to get more out of them”.
