Though the latest Susur Lee venture was kept under wraps in the lead-up to its launch, its Monday night unveiling won a ton of buzz thanks to an appearance by the “6 God” himself.

Fring’s takes over the spot of King Street fixture Crush Wine Bar, which had been serving steak frites since 2002.
Some of the stars in attendance for the kickoff included Drake’s rumoured girlfriend Serena Williams as well as Jada Pinkett Smith and Jaden Smith.
The party itself, which really was a party for Lee and Drake’s close family and friends, even had Drake jamming in the DJ booth.
Drake has opened Fring’s, a restaurant in his hometown of Toronto, BlogTO reports.
The menu and official opening date have not fully been confirmed, Lee says, but like his other restaurants in Toronto, it will have some Asian influences. Not only did he release a surprise collaboration album with Future this weekend, he also opened a restaurant with Susur Lee, one of the biggest names in Canadian food.
If the name is anything to go by, hopefully we can expect some deliciously regrettable french-fries-meet-onion-rings concoction.

“Anything that Drake supports – especially when it has anything to do with Toronto – it’s awesome what he’s done for the city”, he said.
