Pope Francis Has A Hand In Delayed iPhone Shipments
The frenzy of his impending visit has caused UPS to cancel its rounds in 11 ZIP codes in Washington, D.C., seven in New York City, and ten in Philadelphia due to the certainty of gridlock.

Note that not all iPhones are shipped via UPS in those areas.
Word of this service disruption comes from UPS via MacRumors.
“Apple’s latest mobile phone is expected to land on doorsteps Friday”, The Wall Street Journal reported.
New Yorkers who pre-ordered iPhones in time to get them on Friday might be in for a disappointing surprise. Despite the shipment delay, Apple might still be enable to deliver its products before September ends.
Mashable has listed the ZIP codes affected by the service disruption.
No pickups and deliveries will be available Thursday and Friday in the Manhattan zip codes 10001, 10007, 10017, 10021, 10022, 10023, 10029.
If we’re unable to complete the delivery on Friday, we’ll also be making Saturday deliveries at most locations.
Philadelphia will have the following regions affected by the halt: Callowhill, Devil’s Pocket, parts of Bella Vista, Fairmount, Center City, Grays Ferry, Mantua, Passyunk Square, Logan Square, Northern Liberties, Pennsport, Point Breeze, Poplar, Powelton Village, Rittenhouse Square, Society Hill, Southwark, Spring Garden, Spruce Hill, University City, Washington Square West, West Philadelphia, and West Powelton.
