Authorities in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, charged David Angle, brother of former gold medalist and professional wrestler Kurt Angle, with homicide Sunday, per Lexi Belculfine and Molly Born of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She was found unresponsive and then pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The article also notes that Kurt and his family have asked for privacy during this hard time. According to an interview with police, the dispute started at 3 a.m. on Sunday morning when she offered Angle a drink, which he refused. He said his wife continued to bother him about drinking with her and it turned into an argument.

He told police all of their fights revolved around alcohol and that he has “anger issues”.

The suspect tells police his wife tried to kick him, so he dragged her off a couch, stepped on her chest and pulled her arms before she became unconscious. He said he didn’t remember how long he did it for but that “it was not for minutes”.

Angle’s attempts to revive his wife were unsuccessful.

Setticase added the couple “had their problems” over the years “but nothing like this.”

Neighbor Joe Setticase said: ‘Dave’s a good person. Ross knew of no history of disturbances at the Angle home. Kurt Angle hasn’t publicly commented on it and likely won’t speak about the very personal tragedy that has rocked his family.
