Marcos Rojo is happy at Manchester United and won’t be joining Napoli in the January transfer window, according to the defender’s agent.

When asked about the Italian club’s interest in Rojo, Goncalves told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “There is no need to talk about it“.

The defender has been struggling to get into Louis van Gaal’s team this season and only Luke Shaw’s unfortunate injury allowed him to find a place in the Dutchman’s eleven.

This undoubtedly seems like good news for United, as there was some fear over the summer that Rojo would depart.

It is thought that the Argentine who cost the Manchester club £16 million, angered his manager after having to sit out their pre season tour following an issue with his passport, this then lead to the player very almost going to Monaco in a deal that would have seen Martial come to United for a lesser fee.

The Argentina worldwide is now being deployed at left-back in the absence of the injured Luke Shaw, but appears far more comfortable at the heart of the defence.

With this latest confrontation, Rojo’s United career could yet be under threat.
