Asus Zenfone Go launched at Rs 7999

In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 5-inch display with a 1280 x 720 HD resolution, sporting a pixel density of 294ppi. The Zenfone Go comes in Pure Black, Glamour Red, or Ceramic White colour choices.

Announcing the availability of the ZenFone Go, Peter Chang, Regional Head, South Asia and Country Manager – System Business Group – ASUS India, said, “We are excited to announce the availability of ZenFone Go for our Indian users”.

Asus has introduced its Zenfone Go at a price of Rs 7,999.

The phone is decidedly a budget smartphone as it has a low-end quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM, which is quite healthy for a phone of its price.

The company officials further asserted that the newly launched handset would be exclusively made available on company’s stores and with this the mobile can also be purchased from Flipkart. The model that has launched in India today has 8GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD to 64GB.

As mentioned earlier, Asus Zenfone Go is an affordable smartphone that ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Zen UI 2.0 on top of it. On the photography front, the ZenFone Go offers an entry-level 8MP autofocus main camera and a 2MP front camera.

All of this is powered by a 2070mAH battery. Additionally, it also comes with free 100GB Google Drive for 2 years. It measures 144.5x71x9.98mm and weighs 135 grams. The ZenFone Go comes with an accelerometer, e-compass, proximity, and ambient light sensors.
