Jeremy Lin on fitting in (plus a Riley Curry cameo)

When Jeremy Lin dons on the Charlotte Hornets’ uniform, he’s going to be hounded by the same issue that has been following him throughout his career-defense.

Now, he is teaching everyone what exactly it is like to be in the National Basketball Association and how to fit in, thanks to a new, former teammate-filled YouTube video creatively titled, “How to Fit in the NBA”. The fan actually just needed Jeremy to operate the camera while to take a picture of him with DeAndre Jordan from the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 6-foot-3 Lin signed a two-year, $4 million free-agent deal with the Hornets after playing for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2014-15 season. “Good job, Hartford”, teases one of them, mocking his education.

My favorite line from the video is when Jeremy asks Steph Curry, “How are you liking Nor-Cal?” and Steph responds, “It’s cool man. I mean, it’s not Charlotte”.

“Don’t get me wrong”. It’s only a matter of time, obviously, until they take their talents to Charlotte and team up with Lin.

Wearing tight trousers and high socks, as well as an Adidas headband and T-shirt, Jeremy tried to apply some of the advice he received when it came to culture and communication – but failed miserably. Lin points at style, vernacular, music, dancing and more as things to pay attention to when it comes to being “one of the guys”.
