Yup, this vehicle crash began with a spider.

Instead of hitting the brakes, the boy accidentally accelerated, sending the vehicle backwards into an oncoming school bus.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies, Syracuse police and firefighters responded at about 4:18 p.m.to the area of 5571 E. C.R. 1400 N. after receiving a report of a vehicle that had struck a school bus.
Authorities say when Angela Kipp realized she was inches from becoming another arachnid-related statistic, she leapt from her auto while it was going in reverse.

Hill, who has been on the force for more than 25 years, called it “the most unusual situation to occur in my career”. The school bus driver, Becky A. Dunithan, 62, of Syracuse, was not injured during the crash.

No charges are expected at this time against Kipp (or the spider), and the investigation is continuing.
