Missing Rotherham schoolboy Joshua Oxley found

Joshua Oxley from Rotherham in South Yorkshire is thought to have left his family home between 6.45pm and 7pm on the 22nd September as a result of an “incident” at school.

CCTV footage from Leeds railway station showed the Winterhill School pupil, from Kimberworth, arriving at the station at 8.17pm last night and walking out the station. “We’d like to thank everybody for sharing the engage find Joshua and thank all who offered data to help with our request”.

A 12-year-old boy who disappeared on his way home from classes have gone missing police have revealed.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “12-year-old Joshua Oxley has been found safe and well in Leeds by SYP officers”.

Before that a member of staff from his school remembers seeing him at the roundabout at junction 35 of the M1 at Thorpe Hesley at around 4.30pm.

He had attended Winterhill School in Rotherham as normal, but it is now feared something may have happened during the day which led to his disappearance.

Supt McCurry said his disappearance could be “as a result of an incident at school” on Tuesday.

“We need those people to come forward”.

The schoolboy, from Rotherham, is 4ft 6ins tall, of slim build and has short, light brown coloured hair.

Inspector Aziz said: ‘Since Joshua was reported missing we have had a number of specialist resources looking for him and we are now appealing for anyone who may recognise Joshua from his picture, and have seen him since yesterday afternoon, to contact police’.
