EXTRA TIME: Tottenham apologise to Wayne Gretzky after giving him a Spurs
The Great One has travelled the globe meeting dignitaries, athletes and other notable figures, and has taken on a variety of roles since his retirement from the National Hockey League, ranging from hosting Saturday Night Live to receiving the Order of Canada.

As Tottenham prepared to host Arsenal in Wednesday’s Capital One Cup third-round tie, the north London club welcomed Gretzky to White Hart Lane and presented him with his very own shirt.
Whoever was in charge of printing the shirt had misspelt Gretzky’s name so it read “Gretsky” but he was far too polite to inform them before posing for a picture with Ledley King.
Making matters even worse is Tottenham’s official Twitter account tweeted the photo and used Gretzky’s handle – with the correct spelling, of course – in the (quickly deleted) tweet.
There was just one problem.
