“That takes the cake”, Nauert said. It’s a place that he, his girlfriend and their kids can’t wait to move into.

Slusher says he’s talked to customer service agents on the phone and in person, and they’ve promised to clear it up.

Slusher called an automated phone line to check his Verizon account balance. Slusher tells the TV station he’s received a series of erroneous bills since he and his girlfriend opened a Verizon account in November.

Slusher says he now has two collection agencies coming after him. According to Slusher, the couple’s first bill should have been around $120, but it was actually $698 with a balance of $451. The grand total for their activation and this mysterious unpaid bill came to $698.

“If I don’t get this straightened out in the next 24 hours, I can nearly guarantee I’ll lose this house”, he told Fox 12.

After they canceled the service, they started receiving demands from a number of collection agencies asking for thousands of dollars.

Slusher says their next statement asked for just $9. The company said “The error caused him to receive an incorrect voice message that he owed $2 million on his bill”. Ken says Verizon has admitted that it’s all a mistake but they still haven’t made it right.

On Wednesday, Verizon issued a statement to FOX 12 regarding this situation.
