Brawl Erupts At Publix Supermarket Over Chicken Wings
It seems Publix is on its way to rivaling Walmart when it comes to in-store customer-on-customer fights.

Judging from the video, a woman and other customers tried to jump in with their own kicks and punches while the two men scuffled on the floor.
– Tempers flared at a Temple Terrace Publix as shoppers and even some employees got into a brawl that started in the deli section.
When another worker told the man to back off, witnesses say he exploded.
She told WTVT that the victim, 59-year-old Raleigh Harris, was being “rude” to a female deli worker as he was ordering a chicken dinner around 8:30 p.m. A verbal exchange escalated, and Harris became angry at another employee who was trying to calm him down.
Fists flew in the deli line of a Publix here last week and a video of the fight has gone viral. Another customer, 25-year-old Leon T. Lightbody of Tampa, confronted Harris and a fight ensued. Jail records indicate pervious charges of burglary, grand theft, petty theft, trafficking in stolen property, fraudulent use of personal identification and more.
A spokesman for Publix said no one was seriously hurt in the incident. The safety and well-being of our associates and customers is our first priority.

West, asked whether Publix was still investigating the incident, said the Lakeland-based supermarket chain doesn’t publicly discuss the details or status of associates.
