Video of activists stealing dog of homeless man goes viral
A video showing animal rights activists forcibly snatching a dog off a visibly distraught homeless man in Paris has caused widespread outrage in France, the media reported on Friday.

A French animal rights group, Cause Animal Nord were videoed abducting a homeless man in Paris and wrestling him to the ground as they stole the man’s puppy, hopelessly trying to hide under its owner’s suitcase earlier this week, reports the DailyMail.
It is not known exactly why the dog was seized by the activists, although a message later posted on the Cause Animale Nord Facebook page appeared to show the same animal.
A man and woman are caught on camera approaching the homeless man, before the man scoops up the yelping puppy.
“Nowhere (in the group’s rules) is it stated that they have the right to remove without notice any animal or that is what they did by attacking a homeless violently to take his pet (a puppy)”, the petition states.
They argued the group acted with “extreme violence” and question Cause Animale Nord’s “strange” decision to put the animal up for adoption given that the puppy was supposedly “drugged” – a claim made by the group after the incident.
The video, which was posted to Facebook on September 20, has sparked debate across the world and has been viewed more than a million times.
“We took it from a Roma who was begging”.
The dog is wailing throughout the ordeal and the homeless man seems distressed as he pursues the pair. You too can take action, it just takes a little courage.
Salengret Corinne posted: “I do not like how you caused this man grief and the little dog was terrorised”.
“Bravo, all the homeless are Roma, except for all the homeless people that happen to be French”, user Sandrine Berteau said.
Cause Animale Nord has been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment. The little one was afraid to walk in the grass [because] she only knew the pavement, ‘ they added.

“This guy was in the process of begging for the last week with the same dog who was not even moving”.
