ITV to Launch Online Video Hub, Consolidate Web, VOD Offers
Parts of the website may not work as expected without them.

ITV has so far declined to give a launch date, but we know that it will be arriving on Freeview Play set-top boxes and tellies as well as Amazon’s Fire TV and Fire TV Stick devices.
Later this year, ITV will consolidate its digital services under one service known as “ITV Hub”.
The move by the broadcaster to update its online services follows BBC’s new developments for iPlayer, and the decision by Channel 4 to replace 4oD with All 4.
ITV claims that over 30 per cent of its online usage across PC and mobile comes from viewers watching live streams rather than catch-up content, so it is to focus more on that aspect.
To celebrate the launch of its new platform, ITV is airing new episodes of Family Guy and American Dad, marking the first time the Seth MacFarlane cartoons have featured on a United Kingdom on-demand service.
“With over 11 million registered users and 726 million long form requests a year ago alone, our VOD service has come of age, with live TV right at the core of our proposition”, said Paul Kanareck, ITV’s director of online.
ITV has confirmed that its ITV Hub will launch in full this autumn, suggesting that it will undergo beta testing in the meantime. ITV also showed off new branding for ITV Hub that uses the different coloured dots from the various ITV channel logos and shows how ITV Hub is at the centre of all of ITV’s content.

The ITV Hub was designed by ITV’s in-house agency, ITV Creative, with creative director Jon Yeo.
