Klopp ready for Premier League call
Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers appears to be on the brink of getting sacked, with his side unable to put together a string of convincing performances despite the huge outlay by the club on additions for the second successive summer.

“Experiences make you better as a manager”.
Rodgers has also come under fire from former skipper Steven Gerrard, who suggested in his autobiography that the Liverpool boss was guilty of over-confidence when the Reds were challenging for the title in the 2013-14 season.
Rodgers is odds-on in places to be first out and Jurgen Klopp is the 7-4 market leader with Betway to be next in at Anfield, with Carlo Ancelotti rated a 2-1 shot by Hills and Betway.
Liverpool are languishing in 13th spot in the Premier League with just eight points from six games and host struggling Aston Villa at Anfield tomorrow.
Firmino, 23, had to come off after 35 minutes of Wednesday’s Capital One Cup win over Carlisle United after landing awkwardly.
“I’ve never been complacent enough to think that it’s never been”, Rodgers said when asked if he felt his job might be in danger. If you’re not winning, that will intensify.
“You can take the West Brom game out of that”.
I always did as a player and now as a manager. Whether I am here for one day more or one month or one year more I will always have respect for the people here, the owners and [the chief executive] Ian Ayre.
An operation on a broken foot, after an unassociated heel problem, has sidelined captain Jordan Henderson and denied the team some much-needed energy in midfield. But I understand you need to get results and that is the aim. “It’s still very early on”.
Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan admits the players are well aware of the growing discontent among fans but insists they are doing all they can to turn things around.
It isn’t for a lack of trying though that Liverpool have not succeeded, Rodgers for his part has mixed the formations up time after time and now plays with a back three, similar to what he had tried last season but ultimately didn’t work.
Brendan Rodgers’ future at Liverpool has been the subject of intense speculation.
“I’ve an inherent belief in what I do”.
‘We almost achieved great things’.
“I’ve followed Liverpool since 1984 after facing them with Roma in the European Cup final, when we lost on penalties”, Ancelotti said.
