“I’ve done this long enough”, he said. Younger and earlier in my career and in my book I wrote there’s a fine line between being selfish and being driven and I think I crossed that line a lot when I was younger and I didn’t get a chance to spend a lot of time with my older boys and I regret that now. I really want to be there with my kids and my wife. “They’re important to me and I don’t see them enough”. I’m going to do a big worldwide tour, and it’s going to be my last.
The Country Music Hall of Fame member, who has sold more than 120 million records, released his latest holiday album – Once Again It’s Christmas – today. And while he’s excited for these new memories in the making, the two-time Grammy victor did admit it will be hard to say goodbye to the stage. Rolling Stone reports Rogers is working on two separate books of photographs.
The singer’s road trip will include his annual Christmas tour beginning November 11 and ending December. 23. Details on when, where and how long this final tour will be are still to be determined, but Rogers says he’s looking forward to spending more time with his family once retirement comes. Moreover, his fans are in for a treat since Rogers has a huge collection. One will be called American Beauty, and it’s all waterfalls and attractive canyon shots. “My mobility is really driving me insane”.
