Iwobi has developed very well at club level over the past year, having progressed from being a fringe player for Arsenal’s U21 side to being on the periphery of the senior set-up.
Iwobi scored his first goal for Arsenal in their 6-0 win over Lyon in a preseason friendly. He has featured prominently for the second-string in the early weeks of the campaign and will be eager to seize his chance if he is afforded one against Tottenham.
“Iwobi has just got the much awaited green light to feature for Nigeria and we need such talents to in the team just as Iheanacho“.
“So I thought a lot about this and chose to play for Nigeria”.
