Panthers LB Kuechly still in protocol
Linebacker Luke Kuechly is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints with a concussion and he will “more than likely” miss his second consecutive game.

Luke Kuechly’s latest step in the concussion protocol had him in gloves and cleats on the practice field Wednesday.
“Obviously he wants to be out there”, Klein said of Kuechly.
In his place has been A.J. Klein, a third-year player who has registered 10 tackles, one tackle for loss and an interception in his six quarters as Kuechly’s replacement.
“It was very weird playing without him”, Davis said.
“Yeah, I guess that’s what that could be considered, and we’ll see how he is in the morning”.
Rivera also said it is unlikely wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery will play against the Saints. He sat out last Sunday against the Houston Texans.
“He saw the doctor but he’s still in the protocol”, Rivera told reporters. “With the high ankle, you’ll know immediately tomorrow”. “That was good to see”. “They’re a little uncomfortable, but it definitely felt good to get them on and hit a little bit”, Lotulelei said with a smile. We have a really good feel for what the other guy is going to do.
“[My foot] probably still won’t even be 100 percent when I come back”.

Elsewhere on the injury report, defensive end Charles Johnson (hamstring) and running backs Jonathan Stewart (knee) and Fozzy Whittaker (shoulder) are questionable.
