George Strait Releasing New Album “Cold Beer Conversation”, Will Play Las
In a huge, unexpected, surprise announcement on September 22, Strait revealed his plans for a brand-new album, Cold Beer Conversation, as well as a run of shows in Las Vegas. “And I filmed parts of [my 1992 movie] Pure Country at The Mirage”, Strait says. “I think it’s a great record”. I always shoot for that … you’ve gotta go in the studio thinking that way.

With 60 No. 1 singles including “Amarillo By Morning” and “Blue Clear Sky”, Strait will be performing an array of his classic hits as well a track from his new album. Cold Beer Conversations will be available on iTunes and at Walmart stores starting on Friday, September 25.
Any chance we’ll see additional dates added around these shows if demand for tickets goes through the roof?
In response to a question from the media, Strait acknowledged that the work he’s done since that April 2014 show in Texas – a CMT special, a DVD and putting together the new album – has been extensive. I’m really, really looking forward to being able to play in the new Las Vegas Arena. After you came home, did it ever get to the point where it just felt weird to not be planning a tour or getting ready to go out on the road? Kacey Musgraves was chosen as the show opener. I thought you retired.’ Ooh, I just wanna grab ’em and shake ’em.
Strait, known to many fans as “The Cowboy”, has lots of awards under his belt, including entertainer of the year from the Academy of Country Music in 2014. George will be one of the first performers to play the new venue.
“I’m very excited to be coming back out and playing for the fans out there”.

“In 1981, when I signed with MCA Records, it seems like yesterday”, Strait recalls. In fact, I sang a song from it at the ACM 50 anniversary, at AT&T Stadium. He has since sold more than 100 million records worldwide, and is considered the “King of Country” by many due to his prolific career.
