With news of John Boehner stepping down as Speaker of the House at the end of October, speculation has exploded of who will be the next leader of Congress’ lower chamber.

Boehner said in his resignation news conference that he was certain he could hold on to the job, but didn’t want to subject the “institution” to a vacate vote.

When asked if he thinks this development is a repudiation of the establishment-and an affirmation of conservatism-Paul said he did.
