After multiple media outlets fact-checked Fiorina’s comments on a Planned Parenthood “Sting” video after the second Republican Debate, her team has released a video using questionable editing to “prove” her point.

And while I usually dig being right and saying “I told you so” (and to say otherwise would be a flat-out lie), I really hate that I was right when I posted before that the completely unsubstantiated accusations against Planned Parenthood, despite being investigated and discredited multiple times, are still going to haunt Planned Parenthood for years.
In South Carolina, presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina defended her past comments about Planned Parenthood’s abortion and organ harvesting business while visiting a pro-life pregnancy center.
But in another debate during her Senate race, Fiorina said if elected she would not initiate action to overturn Roe vs. Wade, or make opposition to abortion a litmus test for Supreme Court appointments.
“While it is obviously not the same baby as the one she harvested the brain of, the footage helps viewers to understand what a 19-week old baby looks like when hearing the testimony of an ex-employee who harvested brains from babies of the same age”, argued the Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway.
Ms. Fiorina’s statement has divided people on all sides, and independent fact-checkers, members of the media and activists have offered various explanations of what the footage shows and whether it is misleading or not. That people treated her the way she should be treated, as all the candidates should be treated, as an equal on that stage.
“I have asked them to both pass the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and de-fund Planned Parenthood“, Fiorina said. However, critics say that the ad features a mash-up of the videos already released by the Center for Medical Progress.
The dust-up comes amid a battle on Capitol Hill that could lead to a government shutdown. Forget about abortion, which is something that a limited number of Planned Parenthood facilities perform, with not a penny of federal money.
On Thursday, McConnell is likely to begin the procedural process of bringing to the floor a “clean” funding bill to keep the government open until mid-December, pushing final votes until early next week – on the eve of the funding deadline.
