Friday forecast: Mostly sunny, high near 74 degrees on Long Island
Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with comfortable sleeping weather as lows will fall into the middle 50s. Temps will slide downward through the 60s. Highs will be in the 70s in most locations.

We’re mostly quiet as we head into the weekend, with seasonal temperatures for both days.
The chance of rain increases to 30 percent Saturday, Sunday and into Monday. Highs in western Montana will top out in the upper 70s to mid 80s, but areas east of the Divide will rise well into the 80s & even 90s under this big ridge of high pressure!
We’re expecting mostly cloudy skies with cool weather in Philly this weekend for the pope’s visit. Light rain possible at night. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Enjoy the trip if you’re traveling.
A rare supermoon/lunar eclipse combo will occur Sunday evening with the total eclipse set for 8:11pm MDT. Highs will touch the low 70s. The rain will hold off until late in the afternoon Tuesday as a cold front descends from the north. The front will bring scattered showers and a rumble of thunder with it as it slowly moves through state Tuesday- Wednesday.
