Matt Damon Drops Details on New ‘Bourne’ Movie Plot
So we have to answer the questions, Where’s he been? However, during an interview with the New York Daily News to promote his new sci-fi film The Martian, Damon finally spilled some information about the film’s story.

“He put on like 30lb of muscle or something but I’m doing Jason Bourne now so I think I’ve got him”.
No official plot description has been released about Bourne 5 – which is based on a script by Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon – but we do know that filming has begun, and that the production has lined up an insanely talented supporting cast (nothing really new for this series). Sure, Jeremy Renner helped perpetuate the franchise with 2012’s The Bourne Legacy, but eight years have passed since we’ve actually seen the series’ titular character. Further adding he said that once he sorts out all the questions, then the movie will be ready, as stated by Cinema Blend. One concrete detail Damon dropped, however, is that the flick will focus on the fallout of a “post-Snowden” society, so we expect data mining, government surveillance, and personal privacy concerns to all play some part in the new “Bourne”‘s plot.

As per Damon’s statement and years calculation, it seems that the movie might be featured in future prospect or it may hint for a subsequent sequel lead within “Bourne 5″. It’s also possible that he was referring to the first movie, 2002’s The Bourne Identity, but it’s been 13 years since that hit theaters. Most recently, Ato Essandoh joined the previously announced Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Julia Stiles.
