If you’re looking for a photo or video editing solution and don’t want to break the bank with Adobe’s full “pro” editions of Photoshop or Premiere, the good news is that you can still stay in the Adobe family with its reasonably powerful “prosumer” Elements editions.

· Find by people and places, faster: Quickly find photos based on the people in them, what you were doing or where they were taken in the Elements Organizer.

There’s also a haze removal tool to clear up any spectacular landscape shots that look clouded.

Adobe’s shake removing tool introduces auto shake reduction. With the new feature a simple button-click will remove the camera shake blurs that come from movement. This can be done with one click or users can opt to use sliders which give them more control.

Other new Photoshop Elements features include: step-by-step help for adding motion blurs and resizing photos, a new Fine Detail Selection option that lets you paint loosely over things like hair and pet fur, and Smart Looks for automated editing. Elements 14 Organizer also includes a handy places view for finding geotagged images on a map, which Photos hasn’t quite made on par with the retired iPhoto and Aperture apps.

· Tell flashy stories with motion titles: Grab attention with new, professional-looking motion titles. The application also makes it easy to animate text and graphics using built-in presets.

“Create visual drama by popping one or more colours in a scene and pushing everything else to black-and-white”, Adobe gushed. You can fine-tune for hue, saturation and luminance, too. The Guided Edits tool here has also been improved, instructing users on how to make edits and apply effects. Maybe my iPhone 6s Plus coming this afternoon will improve that, but Photoshop Elements 14 has you covered for all your old images.

If you’ve got a 4K Ultra HD video camera and/or TV, you know what all the fuss is about.

The new Premier Elements-14 brings movie editors integration to work with 4K resolution videos. Export your movie just got a lot easier as well, with Premiere Elements the app recommends settings for you. Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 and Adobe Premiere Elements 14 are immediately available for purchase for $99.99 each. Bundles are available for $149.99, and existing users can upgrade for $79.99 for one product for $119 for the bundle.
