Samsung opens doors on new Silicon Valley offices

Silicon Valley has lately been a talk of town everywhere and amidst the impending high profile visit by Indian PM in the Bay area, now Samsung has officially entered the region with its new office in Silicon Valley. The one-.a million-square-foot internet site in San Jose is meant to keep to two, 000 office employees, number Samsung’s American R&D employees and provides your dream house ready for its nearby internet marketing workforce. Innovation and advanced technologies for next-generation devices generated at the new facility will help make a contribution to providing the critical competitive advantage that the company’s US and global customers seek. Samsung may be facing hard times in the smartphone industry, the product category it’s most well-known for in the USA, but these new offices should give it a little more visibility in the tech world. “Laying the groundwork for a more aggressive pace of growth over the next several decades.” reportedly said Oh-Hyun Kwon, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics.

Samsung has been in Silicon Valley since 1983, so they aren’t really new to the area. The complex is occupied by 700 employees, and has the capacity to hold 2,000 workers.

The 1.1-million-square-foot campus will combine various research labs for the company’s semiconductor, LED, and display businesses.

Samsung’s US President stated that the move “represents a major milestone as we open our most strategically important Samsung facility in the USA, and also our biggest investment in Silicon Valley“. Each scholarships will cover tuition and living expenses for university students who joined any of the STEM-focused programs at a California State or University of California school in a period of one year.
