Listen to Sam Smith’s stirring Bond Spectre theme ‘Writing’s on the Wall’
The new James Bond theme song, Writing’s On The Wall, is out and it might be one of the most forgetful ones in recent memory. The 23-year-old explained the song’s lyrics to NPR, saying, “My music is a diary and it’s a recap of my life, and I wanted to bring that kind of honesty”.

The wait is over for James Bond fans as the theme tune for the new Spectre film has finally landed.
Sometimes, James Bond films don’t have theme songs so much as gently crooned CVs, letting you know what Bond’s good at (shooting people!) and how he’s feeling (conflicted!). I’m going to be completely honest, I don’t think it will [go to number one].

Focused on 007 once again, and featuring Daniel Craig in his fourth instalment of the long-running franchise, Spectre will be released on Monday, October 26. Sam Smith is also really boring. Meanwhile Ralph Fiennes takes over as MI6’s boss, M, after the previous M, played by Judi Dench, was killed in 2012’s “Skyfall“.
