Participants started the day with a ceremony held at Target Field, honoring those affected by the disease.

“It’s really inspiring to see those with the disease out here, as they are taking steps in fighting this disease, which ultimately there is no cure or prevention for”, said Kaarmin Ford, the Development Director of the Alzheimer’s Association.

A Walk Saturday at Carbondale High School focused its attention on putting and end to Alzheimer’s.

Thousands of people came to California’s Atlantic Station Saturday morning with one aim in mind, to walk 2.4 miles to show support to end the disease which affects so many in the United States.

The walk is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Walk sign-up open up at nine a.m. and a gap rite will probably be wedged at 10 along at the store, at 1201 Huffine Road.
