BioShock’s Mobile Port Only Temporarily Removed
In an interview on Tuesday with Buzzfeed titled “20 Minutes With Tim Cook“, CEO of Apple Inc. addressed many features, privacy concerns, the iPad Pro as a desktop replacement and why you can’t delete Stocks app in a auto ride across Manhattan. “Unfortunately, you are correct we don’t now have this game for mobile gaming any more, which I know can be frustrating”. Unhappy customers are being advised by 2K Support to seek a refund from Apple. They actually have a concrete number indicating why this is unlikely, as they say “well over 90%” of Apple device users have devices that are compatible with iOS 9.

While it may have been out a while, Bioshock iOS has been pulled from iOS devices by 2K. “This happens occasionally, but thankfully not often”.
My guess is that you haven’t heard anyone saying that Apple’s iOS frameworks and their Xcode integrated development environment aren’t considered a viable solution for some company’s infrastructure. However you will be able to complete a refund with Apple.
“2K recently provided inaccurate information to customers surrounding removal of BioShock for iOS from the App Store”, a representative said. As a reminder, Apple’s installment plan gets you an unlocked phone you can take to any mobile network. This may leave some fans disappointed, but at least 2K and 2K China (the developers) are being open with the players and providing refunds.
BioShock was never ported to Android, so there’s no prospect you’ll be able to play the game again on that.

Until Apple publicly announces the change, you can go ahead and try it for yourself by visiting the iTunes Connect website and logging in using your AppleID. The news understandably stirred up a lot of controversy, as the port is barely a year old, and typically commanded a premium price of $14.99 Dollars on the App Store.
