Blaney won the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 Xfinity Series race at Kentucky Speedway Saturday night. Who can get a big push. Blaney was able to retake the lead on the final restart and drive on to the win, leaving runner-up honors for Dillon.
“We were just even with (Dillon) and (Smith) gave us a good push, ” said Blaney, who led 81 of the 201 laps. Suarez was joined on the front row by Richard Childress Racing’s Brian Scott and it was Scott who immediately took the lead when the race went green before the first caution on lap 2 for a multi-car wreck involving Ryan Reed, Blake Koch, Ben Rhodes and Brennan Poole. We had really good speed here in the Monster Energy Camry, just didn’t work out at the end of the day.
“This will be a critical race for our team and a great opportunity to put one in the win column”, Dillon said. We’ve been really, really strong and we’ve got more races to go. But we’ve got to look at today as a positive.
Points leader Grant Enfinger was 12th.
The 100-lap race will be run in the afternoon before the NASCAR Xfinity Series event.
Erik Jones quickly made his way through the field and took the lead after a pit stop that coincided with a caution.
Erik Jones finished eighth, and Scott was 13th. The top five are rounded out by Regan Smith and Elliott Sadler.

Unlike Jones, Scott wound up outside the top-10 at the checkered flag, finishing 13th after an incident with Darrell Wallace Jr. on a late-race restart.
