The Home Minister said the Modi government went whole hog against the infiltrators as a result of which 130 terrorists were killed while sneaking into Indian territory since 2014, compared to 110 in 2013 and 67 in 2012.
The Governor said that the report, which was received on September 23, had been sent to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for appropriate action the very next day. “We did not take a rigid stand on the Land Acquisition bill as we want to take everyone along.it is not a question of victory or defeat”, he said, appealing to the opposition leaders to initiate measures for passage of GST bill in Parliament.
The minister, who was talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here on Saturday, said that Pakistan is waging a proxy war against India and this is evident from the repeated ceasefire violations that are taking place. It has no meaning. “Indian will achieve victory over it too”, Rajnath said as per ANI.
To another question, Mr Singh said that he remained a RSS volunteer and the RSS never permitted creating differences on the basis of caste and religion. “But for the first time in the history of the country, a government has come at the Centre which is fulfilling social concerns as well”, he said.
“It is an irony that the gender ratio is not balanced in India”.
Singh said that while a man could be the patron of a single person, a woman is the protector of an entire family. “They are playing an active, effective and fruitful role in paramilitary forces and police”, he said.
