FESTIVAL FRENZY Crowd storms stage at Ariz. concert, several injured
Tempe fire officials tell KNXV-TV that nine people were taken to a nearby hospital after the incident 7 p.m.at Tempe Beach Park.

Police say that alcohol was served at the event, but it’s not clear if alcohol played any role in the stage rush incident.
He says police are encouraging concert-goers to come prepared by staying well hydrated and dressing appropriately for the heat.
Today’s lineup also includes Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Kaytranada, Travi$ Scott, and Pusha T.
Several concert-goers were injured Saturday night at a music festival in Tempe, and both police and fire crews are working with promoters to prevent a similar situation on Sunday.
One person was transported to a hospital from the concert in serious condition with a head injury. No details on their injuries were released. People were getting pushed, stepped on, trampled over.
“There’s been lots of scuffles and dehydrated people because everyone’s been drinking,” Grand Canyon University student Hailey Ferris, 18, told the newspaper.

Tom Lapenna, owner of Lucky Man Concerts who is the event promoter of the Summer Ends Music Festival, said in a statement that “unfortunately, the actions of a few, affected many people”. “We paused the music for 30 minutes allowing security and medics to assist those wanting to leave the area closest to the stage and assist anyone needing medical attention”.
