Leeds United: The best form of defence is attack – Rosler

Middlesbrough are Rosler’s favourites to finish top of the table in May and are chasing a seventh straight win in all competitions, while Leeds are making steady progress with two league victories on the road already this season. I think we are very good in the transition.

“He has really supported him and backed him and they have put a squad together which is now very close to winning promotion”. Rosler cut a very relaxed figure in the press conference and seemed at ease considering the mammoth task that Leeds United face in taking on one of the form teams in this season’s Championship.

“Our recruitment will also be a big part of that going forward, to make us better in certain areas”.

“If we get it they will have to come out and play”.

“I’m not involved in any contract negotiations”.

“I think we’ve shown a great team effort and work ethic in the way we work against the ball”.

“I have to encourage my players how to do that more probably than we did against MK Dons”.

But Rosler wants to keep Buckley for the long-term, with Leeds expected to push through a £1million permanent move when the transfer window re-opens, if his loan proves to be a success.

Rosler will make a late decision on whether to include Sam Byram in his starting line-up following mounting speculation over the winger’s future and could hand recent signing Jordan Botaka his first appearance.

Leeds United will travel to Riverside Stadium to meet Middlesbrough on Sunday.

“We opted to go that way rather than play like Brazil from day one”.
