Anderson Silva hints at April UFC return against possibly Michael Bisping

Equally a loss for Silva or Bisping would likely mark the end of their respective title aspirations.

Silva shared this information when he was chanced at an MMA event in Dagestan.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement yet on the same, Machida wants to face another veteran in Michael Bisping when he does come back to fighting.

According to “The Spider” he’ll be ready to go again in April, 2016 in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, and will appear on the same card as heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum.

Silva was interviewed that on UFC Fight Pass and this was where the Spider sent feelers that he could be possibly returning to the Octagon in April and that his possible opponent would be Michael Bisping.

“I don’t remember the name but I think it’s Michael Bisping. I think, I don’t know”. “Maybe”, said Silva.

Sources close to the situation told MMAFighting.com that the UFC is working on an event at the 42,000-seat Arena da Baixada stadium in March or April, but it’s not finalized yet.

It’s a while off, but Anderson Silva seems destined for a UFC return, how would you feel about seeing him fight Michael Bisping? It’s an interesting statement given that UFC has not set a date to visit Brazil in April, nor stated Werdum would be on the card.

It’s been a rough couple years for Anderson Silva, first he lost the middleweight title in spectacular fashion against Chris Weidman at UFC 162, then he suffered one of the most horrific injuries at UFC 168.

The news seems a little premature given that Bisping still has a fight against former TUF: The Smashes victor Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 in November first, and indeed the Brit claims he was unaware that he might be facing the former long-time champion next year, although he’s not against to the idea.

Which I suppose gives him plenty of time to do things like fly out to Dagestan, Russia. He took to Instagram his thoughts on the possible bout.
