Hugh Jackman wants Tom Hardy to be the next Wolverine

Previously, Jackman revealed that he was once offered to play James Bond, but he decided against it because he was getting ready to film ‘X-Men 2’. I’ve still got one more to do. I think it’s a really important relationship but I want to see signs of that quasi-father/son sort of relationship that has not been seen before, and sides of particularly Professor X that have not been seen before.

Actor Hugh Jackman, who will be dropping his claws following Wolverine 3, feels Mad Max: Fury Road actor Tom Hardy will make a good Wolverine. The actor also recently hinted his interest in playing 007.

“I’m saying “but” and I’m sounding a little cagey because this is the last time I’m playing him…” “I suppose the stakes just go up when you announce before your last season that this is your last season, you don’t want one game to not be your best…”, explained the star.

If they can’t find a younger actor to fill Jackman’s shoes, may we suggest Jim Carrey?

Jackman’s played Wolverine in seven films in all.

ET sat down with the Pan star, and he had a couple of ideas about who should take on the iconic comic book role after him. Jackman explained that he was “completely unknown” when he landed the part of Wolverine and thought it would be nice if the same would happen to someone else. He is set to appear in X-Men: Apocalypse followed by Wolverine 3 which will mark his final outing with the franchise.
