Vigouroux recalled from loan spell by Liverpool

The goalkeeper has been with the League One side since August and had played every game before being dropped for Saturday’s defeat to Colchester United.

Vigouroux was slapped with the fine after turning up late to training last week.

The young goalkeeper has been doing well for the minnows, but has now returned to Liverpool – although it’s currently uncertain whether we recalled him or Swindon sent him back.

Afterwards, he revealed nothing more than the shot-stopper’s absence as a “disciplinary matter” – which is believed to have stemmed from the fact that Vigouroux was an hour late for a training session last week.

“It’s come from me and the rest of the players”.

He was spoken to by manager Mark Cooper and senior players about his attitude but Sportsmail understands he then turned up with his fine in bank bags full of pennies.

Cooper also says his side need to increase their work rate if they are to end their bad run of form.

Vigouroux’s departure means that Swindon have just one senior goalkeeper on their books, former Liverpool trainee Ty Belford.
