Vice President Joe Biden calls out Donald Trump
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday said Republican presidential contender Donald Trump was selling a “sick message” about immigrants in America based on xenophobia. “They feel it in the raging forest fires we have in the state and the long-term drought, which seems to be the new normal, the problems with getting water”, said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

“Promise to intervene instead of being a bystander”, Biden said. In Biden’s circle it seems conversations are now more focused on when would be the best time for the vice president to throw his hat in the ring.
“This will pass: Trump, and that stuff that you’re hearing on the other team”, he said.
Referring specifically to the Republican presidential candidates, Biden mocked the notion that it would even be a topic of discussion. Addressing a U.S.-China summit in Los Angeles on Wednesday, he started praising a friend from the caucus kick-off state of Iowa before pausing to say he could no longer call him a “good friend”.
The events provide Biden an opportunity to both boast of the Obama administration’s initiatives and burnish his credentials on the climate – an issue that Hillary Clinton, the current front-runner for the Democratic nomination, has made a centerpiece of her campaign.
Ohio and Michigan are among a handful of states that are competitive for Democrats and Republicans, although Michigan has trended Democratic in recent presidential elections.
Biden told his guests that he had seen Trump talking on television just before speaking to the poolside cocktail party, and chose to cast aside remarks his staff had prepared recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month.
Joe Biden’s aides have begun calling Democratic donors and supporters to suggests he is about to enter the 2016 race.
Noted political strategist David Axelrod, who has been in the trenches of presidential runs, discussed his views of the Democratic candidates on “Face the Nation” last Sunday.
China’s mega-cities and major U.S. metropolitan areas pledged swifter and deeper cuts in carbon pollution on Tuesday, shoring up an historic agreement between presidents Barack Obama and Xi Jinping.
Yang Jiechi, the special envoy of President Xi, and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden are expected to attend the closing ceremony on Wednesday, September 16.
“So if you study the ’20s, for example, there was – there was an American first policy that said who cares what happens in Europe?” he continued.
While Biden torched Trump, he also had a more positive message for the activists gathered there: Don’t give up.
