Anthony Bennett has finally found his new home after he was bought out by the Minnesota Timberwolves as he has officially signed with the Toronto Raptors, according to his Instagram account. Boozer averaged 11 points and seven rebounds for the Lakers last season.

The 22-year old Bennett is now the 20th player on the team’s roster for training camp, which begins with media day Monday in Toronto before continuing in Burnaby, B.C., on Tuesday.

Bennett, the top pick in 2013, cleared waivers on Friday after a contract buyout with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Raptors emerged as strong frontrunners to sign him. Bennett is also coming off a summer where he looked extremely good for Team Canada so maybe he can carry that momentum into training camp. Bennett was a former number one overall pick with the Cleveland Cavaliers and he was traded along with Andrew Wiggins in the deal for Kevin Love. He averaged 5.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game in 15.7 minutes a night for the Timberwolves during year two.

However, he did have a solid summer with the Canadian national team that finished third at the FIBA Americas championship after winning Pan Am Games gold. The Raptors don’t have a runaway starter after Amir Johnson left but Patrick Patterson is fully expected to start at the four.
