It was reported that the match between St Austell and Bodmin ended in just 58 seconds and the reason behind it was fog, which was so thick that the players weren’t able to see each other at all.
A player later explained that they only started playing because they had heard the whistle sound.
But it had to stop as the fog made everyone unable to see anything around.
However, this was not the fastest football match as in 1998 World Cup qualifier between Estonia and Scotland ended in three seconds when Estonia boycotted the game in a row over floodlights at the Kadrioru stadium in Tallinn.
