The minor spat started early last week, when Tim Cook called movies about Steve Jobs “opportunistic” during an appearance on The Late Show.
While Apple has taken measures to improve working conditions in its factories overseas, the company declined to comment on Sorkin’s remarks.
“Nobody did this movie to get rich”, Sorkin said (via The Hollywood Reporter) at the London press junket in response to Cook’s comments.
“I haven’t seen them, but the Steve I knew was an wonderful human being”. “He invented things that I think other people could not”.
“The Prime Minister had also discussed “Apple Pay” with Tim Cook so that ways could be explored in using it for Jan Dhan Yojna, he told the media here”.
However, his rebuttal forwarded after the incident, clearly states that he hoped Mr. Cook would appreciate his film just the way he “enjoys” Apple products.
The new “Steve Jobs” movie is slated to hit cinemas nationwide in little over three weeks, but already the jabs are flying.
“As Apple expands its presence in India including a manufacturing presence there could be enhanced opportunity for app development related to the apple platforms”, he said.
Sorkin’s movie, “Steve Jobs“, opens on October 9.
Aside from “Steve Jobs” and “X-Men: Apocalypse”, Fassbender is now filming “Assassin’s Creed” and is set to star in “Tresspass Against Us”, “The Snowman”, “The Light Bewtween Oceans” and “Alien: Paradise Lost”.
