Jay Cutler: (Hamstring) Ruled Out Sunday

Clausen generated a 3.2 QBR in place of Cutler on Sunday while totaling 121 passing yards with 1 interception. Cutler has taken plenty of heat over his time in Chicago for the perception that he does not care. Tony Jefferson bounced back very nicely with his pick-six after allowing an earlier completion down the middle. The biggest thing is we’ve got to get everyone on the same page so we don’t have those same mistakes and we can keep letting drives go…

The Chicago Bears out-gained the Arizona Cardinals while Cutler was in the game.

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is reportedly expected to miss two weeks or more with a hamstring injury.

The Bears have been engaged in quite a battle with the Cardinals at Soldier Field this afternoon, and while the Cardinals have had the edge for most of the game, the Bears looked to be holding their own. To finish it off in style, Fitzgerald stiff armed Fuller’s replacement Terrance Mitchell on his way to his final score of the game.

Cutler was not available for comment afterward. “Our medical people will inform me and then I will inform you“. He earned the game ball just 12 seconds into the game. He clinched last week’s win over the Saints with a 55-yard touchdown catch in the waning minutes, so now he’s scored on a return, a reception and a rush.

Cutler’s hamstring was strained, Fox announced. 170 yards in penalties…they know that can’t happen this Sunday against Seattle.

In these first two games, Fitzgerald already has 14 catches for 199 yards and three touchdowns.

Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer combined for three touchdowns to help the Arizona Cardinals to a 48-23 victory over the Chicago Bears this evening.

The Bears are evaluating their roster this season and trying to determine how many building blocks are on this team moving forward. Which means the 0-2 Bears seem increasingly likely to start Jimmy Clausen at quarterback on Sunday in Seattle against the two-time defending NFC champion Seahawks. For the second straight week, the Bears defense failed to record a sack. Cards WR J.J. Nelson left the game in the third quarter with an injured right shoulder. It was widely believed that Clausen’s time in the National Football League was done at that point. Arians, the Head Coach of the year (2012 and 2014) has made his bones in Arizona by keeping to the task at hand.

Whatever the injury may be, an accurate report should emerge within the next day or two.
